Cara Mengembalikan Windows Photo Viewer di Windows 10 - Windows Photo Viewer adalah aplikasi default bawaan Windows untuk menampilkan/membuka file-file berbentuk gambar, seperti JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, dan lainnya.

Namun, sejak munculnya Windows 8 dan 10, Windows Photo Viewer sudah tidak bisa kita temukan lagi karena sudah tergantikan oleh aplikasi photo viewer bernama Photos.

Bagi saya sendiri perubahan ini memang terasa kurang memuaskan karena beberapa alasan, seperti saat proses memuat gambar aplikasi Photos lebih lama dari pada Windows Photo Viewer, juga kita tidak bisa menggunakan scroll mouse untuk zoom pada gambar.

Ternyata bukan hanya saya yang mengeluhkan perubahan ini, teman-teman dekat saya juga banyak merasakan hal yang sama.

Namun...

Dengan perubahan ini, bagi kita yang masih cinta dengan aplikasi Windows Photo Viewer jangan keburu kecewa.

Karena pihak Microsoft sendiri tidak serta merta menghapus aplikasi Windows Photo Viewer dari Windows yang terbaru.

Hanya saja aplikasi tersebut disembunyikan dan tugasnya digantikan oleh aplikasi Photos.

Dan kabar baiknya aplikasi Windows Photo Viewer masih bisa kita kembalikan sebagai aplikasi default untuk membuka file foto di Windows 10 tanpa harus download aplikasinya, cukup lakukan beberapa langkah yang akan saya jelaskan dibawah ini.

2. Buka Notepad dan Paste hasil copy diatas.

3. Selanjutnya di simpan dengan cara klik menu File -- Save As...

4. Pada jendela Save As yang muncul, di kotak File name isi dengan Photoviewer.reg dan Save as type ubah menjadi All Files, dan lanjutkan dengan menekan tombol Save (Perhatian! saat melakukan penyimpanan harap di ingat lokasi penyimpanan).

5. Berikutnya buka lokasi file Photoviewer.reg tadi berada dan jalankan dengan cara double klik, saat muncul jendela User Account Control klik tombol Yes.

6. Jika muncul jendela konfirmasi seperti gambar berikut, klik tombol Yes.

7. Selanjutnya akan muncul jendela konfirmasi Registry Editor klik tombol OK, dan selesai.

8. Berikutnya kita coba pilih foto atau gambar yang ingin kita buka, klik 2x (double klik) pada foto/gambar, saat muncul menu How do you want to open this file?, pada Other Options pilih Windows Photo Viewer dan jangan lupa di centang pada Always use this app to open .jpg files, dan klik tombol OK.

Bagaimana, cukup mudah gak?

Jika kamu masih bingung atau males untuk melakukan copy paste kode di atas, saya sudah sediakan file jadinya, jadi tinggal download di bawah postingan ini "Photo Viewer" ukuran file sangat kecil hanya 28 kb, dan ikuti petunjuk dari langkah nomor 5 diatas.

Namun jika kamu ingin mengembalikan lagi ke semula sebagaimana sebelum melakukan hal diatas, cukup download file kedua "Undo Photo Viewer" dibawah postingan ini dan jalankan.
